Action
Description
|---|---|
Inspect at every service
Open the air filter housing to check dust accumulation and clean the dust collection cup
Never blast with an air gun
This damages the filter paper fiber structure and significantly reduces filtration efficiency; if cleaning is necessary, keep pressure ≤0.5 MPa and blow from inside out
Avoid over-cleaning
Filtration efficiency is actually lower when the filter is new and improves as dust accumulates; if noticeable dust remains after 2–3 cleanings, replace it
Check the seal
After installation, press lightly along the outer edge of the filter to ensure the rubber seal fits snugly against the housing
Pay attention to the safety filter
The safety filter element (non-woven fabric) inside is generally replaced only every 2–3 main filter changes; do not mix them up
